CFR Thanks for Giving 2012

Generous people donated thousands of canned foods. Byron and Adam are packing a box for a family of 3-4.The Mopdog team spent the day sorting through tables of food and packing boxes for The Center for Family Resources’ Annual Thanks for Giving campaign. Through the food drive, The CFR is able to provide families, that couldn’t otherwise afford one, with a Thanksgiving meal. There is even extra food for families to feed their children during the Thanksgiving break. The whole team headed over to Jim Miller Park, located in Marietta, Ga., where they joined other volunteers to pack hundreds of boxes. Some were “sorters,” “shoppers” and “box makers,” among other jobs. Working as a team with other volunteers, everyone prepared food boxes for different family sizes: 1-2, 3-4 and 5+. In 2011 The CFR provided for nearly 1,500 families during the holiday season. We enjoyed this opportunity to contribute to our community and bring the tradition of Thanksgiving to many families.
